How to care for my flowers in a box?
Flowers in flower boxes are placed in a special floral sponge soaked in water with the addition of a conditioner for cut flowers. It is important to keep floral sponge wet at all times. With you finger carefully find a spot where sponge can be accessed easily without damaging the arrangement. Gently press on it. If you feel no moisture, please add half a cup of water in the center of arrangement avoiding wetting the flowers (turkey baster works great).
If you discover overwatering (water will not be absorbed by the sponge) carefuly tilt the arrangement over the sink in order to get rid of extra water.
Try not to change the positioning of the flower in the arrangement by taking it out of the sponge. Flower stem will absorb air that will lead to shorter life of the flower.
Do not place flower boxes close to sources of heat, airy places, vents, near bowls of fruit (especially bananas), avoid direct sunlight. Don't expose flowers to sudden temperature changes that can make flowers wilt in a few hours.
